Companies Have Stored 65 Million Voices

Your voice is the new fingerprint. A push for voice biometrics as the latest identification tool has resulted in companies and governments across the world collecting more than 65 voiceprints. The unique quality of each voice has been utilized by corporations like Barclays, which recently experimented with a voice-activated VIP banking service and will soon expand to all customers. Next year the voiceprint industry could bring in up to $900 million in revenue, according to estimates.
