Comic-Con: Guillermo del Toro to Direct Haunted Mansion
Jace Lacob reports: Disney has just announced Guillermo del Toro will direct Haunted Mansion at Comic-Con. The director of Pan’s Labyrinth and Hellboy, appearing in Hall H, called the Disneyland attraction "the most precious real estate on earth." The film, said Del Toro, will be a "scary" live-action 3D drama and will "remain true to the original… Imagineers" and will feature the Hat Box Ghost. But Eddie Murphy—a star of the 2003 version—needn't audition. "We aren't taking Eddie Murphy's calls," said Del Toro.
