Colo. Shooting Victim Dies

Claire Davis died Saturday from injuries sustained last week during the Arapahoe High School shooting. Her family was by her bedside. Davis, 17, had been on life support since being shot in the head point-blank by Karl Halverson Pierson, 18, at the Littleton, Colorado school. Pierson then shot and killed himself. “Although we have lost our precious daughter, we will always be grateful for the indelible journey she took us on over the last 17 years—we are truly blessed to be Claire’s parents,” her family said in a statement. Police believe Davis was a random victim, and investigators believe Pierson’s main target was a librarian.
