Clinton's Next World Tour

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s next trip is a big one: According to the Associated Press, she “is using her second overseas trip as the nation's top diplomat to assess peace prospects in the Middle East, reconnect with European allies and remind her Russian counterpart that U.S. efforts to rebuild relations with Moscow has its limits.” Clinton kicks off the trip on Monday, when she will announce at an international conference in Egypt a pledge of up to $900 million in humanitarian assistance for Gaza. She will also visit Israel to emphasize President Obama’s commitment to a two-state solution. Later in the week, she will visit Europe.
