Clinton: Gaddafi Exploring Exit Plan

Even with rebels and allies alike wrapped in confusion, allied airstrikes on Libya may be close to driving leader Muammar Gaddafi from power. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told ABC that members of Gaddafi’s regime have been speaking with allies around the world to discuss potential exit strategies, a sign that he may be close to cracking. "I'm not aware that he personally has reached out, but I do know that people allegedly on his behalf have been reaching out," she said. But Clinton also stressed that the U.S. wants NATO to take command of the operation soon. “I’m very relaxed,” Clinton said, about the U.S. handing over control.
