Clinton Advises Bosnians on Reconciliation

Not sure these situations are really all that similar. While speaking to an ethnically diverse group of students in Sarajevo, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton offered her history of running against President Obama before working with him as an instance of putting country first. The remarks came during her two-day tour of Bosnia just a week after the fragile country’s contentious national elections. “I’m often asked how could I go to work for President Obama after I tried to beat him,” Clinton said. “And the answer is simple. We both love our country. That has to be the mindset here.” One student challenged Clinton’s counsel. “Unfortunately that is the major problem we have here,” he said. “Our politicians often prefer other countries more than our state.”
