Revolving Door

Citigroup Recruiting Orszag

The revolving door is still turning: Peter Orszag, President Obama’s former White House budget director, is in talks to take a job with Citigroup’s investment-banking division. The Princeton and London School of Economics economist helped shaped the stimulus package—the one that gave Citigroup a $25 billion bailout. He was the youngest member of Obama’s cabinet until he stepped down in July. Orszag was an economic adviser in the Clinton White House while Robert Rubin, former Citigroup executive committee chairman, served as Treasury secretary in the late 1990s.
