Cincinnati Cop Suspended for Allegedly Using The N-Word on Duty: Report

A Cincinnati cop has been suspended for allegedly using the n-word while he was on duty, marking the second recent suspension over alleged use of this slur, according to The Enquirer. Police Chief Eliot Isaac said the just-suspended officer, who is black, has been reprimanded for alleged use of the n-word in September. Isaac reportedly said in an email to city officials that body camera footage recorded Officer Donte Hill using the word while responding to a domestic disturbance. While on the scene, Hill allegedly used “excessive profane language and also utilized a racial slur...when addressing the individuals involved,” per Isaac. Isaac became aware of this incident after suspending Officer Dennis Barnette for allegedly using the n-word during an arrest Saturday. Barnette is white, the newspaper said.
