Chris Dodd to Head MPAA

Unemployment might be at 9 percent, but Chris Dodd already has a new job just two months after leaving the Senate. The Connecticut Democrat will serve as chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America, which hopes his 36 years in Washington will provide valuable ties to government. The trade lobby had earlier tried to hire Bob Kerrey, Dodd's former Democratic Senate colleague. Dodd, who also ran for the Democratic nomination for president in 2008, will make $1.3 million in his new post.
