Chinese Suspect’s Prints on Thai Bomb

The fingerprints of a suspect arrested in relation to the Bangkok temple bombing two weeks ago match those found on the bomb debris, Thai police say. “We can confirm that the man was involved in the blast,” a police spokesman said. “He may be the person who carried the bomb out of the apartment or brought the bomb to the crime scene.” The man is said to have had a Chinese passport registering him in the country’s far west—apparently bolstering theories that the bombing was retaliation for Thailand’s deportation of 100 Uighurs to China this summer.
