China has a clear message for Bob Dylan: You’re invisible now. The Beijing ministry of culture has blocked Bob Dylan from performing in China. As a result, Dylan has canceled the Taiwanese and Korean legs of his tour. Jeffrey Wu, of the Taiwan-based Brokers Brothers Herald, said that China’s Cultural Ministry, which holds control over which Western artists perform in the country, ultimately yanked Dylan. Wu told Hong Kong's Sunday Morning Post: "China's Ministry of Culture did not give us permission to stage concerts in Beijing and Shanghai, so we had no alternative but to scrap plans for a Southeast Asian tour."
