Chimp Maul Victim on the Mend

Here’s a bit of good news this morning: Charla Nash, the 55-year-old woman who was attacked by her friend’s pet chimp, is making a swifter recovery than expected after doctors originally feared she would never recuperate. A few weeks ago she even began speaking and asking for her daughter. “For a time we were very worried; now it's more hopeful and less worried," said her brother. “It's been getting better.” The cops were forced to shoot Travis the chimp, who had no history of previous violence, after his explosive attack on Feb 16.
