Chicago Women’s March Canceled After Anti-Semitism Controversy

The Chicago Women’s March, scheduled for January, has been canceled after the movement’s national founders’ connections to the Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan were revealed. The Women’s March Chicago organizers said they canceled the January event because of high costs and few volunteer hours, but did not mention the recent controversy surrounding leaders of the national group, Women’s March Inc. In February, co-chairwoman Tamika Mallory attended a Saviour’s Day event during which Farrakhan said “the powerful Jews are my enemy.”
