Chicago Cop Acquitted in Brutality Case

Chicago Police Commander Glenn Evans was found not guilty of aggravated assault and police misconduct Monday morning by a Cook County judge. During the three-day bench trial, held last week, plaintiff Rickey Williams testified that Evans assaulted him in January 2013 by shoving the barrel of a gun down his throat and threatening to kill him. Williams testified that he spat out blood. His DNA was found on Evans’ pistol.
