Charlie Sheen Brooke Mueller Divorce Papers Filed

Who could have seen this one coming? Charlie Sheen filed for divorce from his wife Brooke Mueller on Monday. The couple, who married in 2008 and have twin 1-year-old boys, have been living apart since April, a source told People magazine. In the court papers obtained by TMZ, their separation date was listed as Dec. 25—the day of an infamous domestic-abuse incident in Colorado that landed Sheen in jail. Since then, both Sheen and Mueller have gone to rehab. Sheen was also placed on probation and sentenced to domestic-violence counseling. The actor was recently hospitalized after he was reportedly was found naked and disorientated in the Plaza Hotel—rumors allege Sheen had used cocaine and spent $12,000 wining and dining a porn star. Mueller later defended her estranged husband, saying, “You know how things get blown of proportion.” According to the divorce papers obtained via TMZ, Sheen and Mueller will share legal custody of their children, while she gets primary physical custody. Sheen also agreed to pay $55,000 a month in child support—the same amount he pays his ex-wife Denise Richards, with whom he has two daughters.
