Champion Boxer Commits Suicide

Edwin Valero, a former lightweight champion in boxing from Venezuela, committed suicide on Monday, hanging himself hours after he was arrested for murdering his wife. Valero was arrested on Sunday after his 24-year-old wife’s body was found in a hotel in Valencia. The 28-year-old boxer had a 27-0 record, all of his victories knockouts, and a tattoo of Hugo Chavez on his chest.
