Rumors of Castro’s imminent demise have increased in recent months, and he has not made a public appearance since receiving a visit from Pope Benedict XVI in March. On Sunday former Venezuelan vice president Elías Jaua said he met with Castro and that the Cuban revolutionary was “doing very well.”
