Burger King Kills Satisfries

Roughly two-thirds of Burger King stores nationwide will begin to phase out Satisfries, the company’s low-fat, low-calorie menu option introduced last year. While making the announcement Wednesday, Burger King said that while more than 100 million customers ordered the fries, the sales were too weak. The fries had 270 calories, compared to the chain’s typical small fries’ 340 calories, and 11 grams of fat to the regular 15 grams of fat. The decision to get rid of the option is a sign that what customers say they want (healthy) doesn’t always match what they spend their money on.
