Bruce Jenner: ‘Call Me Caitlyn’

Shortly after Caitlyn Jenner (formerly Bruce) appeared in public as a woman for the first time on Monday, her new Twitter account sent a record by reaching 1 million followers in four hours. “Call me Caitlyn,” Jenner says in the July issue of Vanity Fair in a cover photo shot by Annie Leibovitz. “Caitlyn doesn’t have any secrets,” she said in a video posted to the Vanity Fair website. “As soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I’m free.” Jessica Lange told The Daily Beast’s Kevin Fallon that she's fine with the comparisons being made between them. ESPN has announced that Jenner will receive the Arthur Ashe award at the ESPY awards in July. President Obama, who previously held the record for speed in reaching 1 million followers on Twitter, retweeted Jenner and added: “It takes courage to share your story.”
