Bristol Palin, daughter of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, will be joining the cast of MTV’s Teen Mom OG, Variety reports. Palin’s pregnancy was announced during her mother’s campaign in 2008, and she was 17 when her son—Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston-Palin—was born. She joins the cast of women who were featured on the early seasons of the Teen Mom reality show, which depicted the lives of ordinary teens dealing with pregnancy and motherhood. She was reportedly was bought on to replace Farrah Abraham, with whom MTV cut ties earlier this year. Palin is not a stranger to the reality TV spotlight: She was featured on two seasons of Dancing with the Stars and her own show, which lasted for one season.
