Brazilian Troops Begin Mosquito Attack

Over 200,000 Brazilian troops from the army, navy and air force went around on Saturday informing citizens about how to get rid of the Aedes aegypti mosquito which has spread the Zika virus leading to birth defects in the country. In total, they were expected to visit three million homes in 350 cities, distributing pamphlets about the pests. President Dilma Rousseff visited homes herself as part of the effort to eliminate the mosquitos and get information out there.
