Bloomberg's Daughter Fractures Spine

Michael Bloomberg, mayor of New York City, is “very concerned, as any father would be” after his daughter Georgina took a serious spill off her horse this weekend. Georgina, 27, is a professional rider and was dressed as a witch in a costumed event at the Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament in New York. She was knocked unconscious from the fall and fractured her spine, but didn’t seek medical attention until Saturday morning. She’s now stable and “resting comfortably,” according to her spokesman. Georgina is one of the sport’s top riders and has suffered injuries before; she last broke her back in 2002, which landed her in physical therapy for years.
