Black Man Arrested for Black Church Fires

St. Louis police have made an arrest in connection with seven church arsons across the city this month. According to the local FOX 2 station, the suspect is a 35-year-old black male. The first of the fires occurred on Oct. 8 at the Bethel Non-Denominational Church in Jennings, a suburb of St. Louis. The fire department suggested the subsequent fires were meant to sent a message. During an afternoon press conference, officials identified the suspect as David L. Jackson and indicated there was "no evidence of a hate crime" involved.
