Billionaires Doubled Since Recession

A new report from Oxfam reports that the number of billionaires worldwide has doubled since the financial crisis. In March 2009, there were 793 billioniares but as of March 2014, there are 1,645. Even more shocking, the world’s richest 85 people saw their wealth jump $668 million a day collectively between 2013 and 2014. Those same 85 people have fortunes that are worth the same amount of money as the poorest half of the world.
