Bill Gates Drinks Sewer Water
The billionaire philanthropist tastes the product of a machine that processes human sewage into drinking water and electricity.
Though he’s still on board at Microsoft as a technology advisor, Bill Gates now spends the majority of his time on philanthropic endeavors. A lot of that involves investment in projects that will help the developing world through education, entrepreneurship, improved sanitation and access to drinking water.
This particular project ticks many of those boxes. The Janicki Omniprocessor, the brainchild of brilliant engineers at Janicki Bioenergy, turns sewage into clean drinking water and electric power. It could dramatically improve quality of life in communities throughout the developing world.
