HILLARY 2016

Bill Clinton Defends His Economic Record

Trying to preserve his presidency's legacy as an economic success, Bill Clinton defended his policies in a speech at Georgetown University, his alma mater, on Wednesday. Clinton is responding to a growing consensus that his policies, particularly those that were pro-business and didn't constrain the wealthy, are out of place in the current focus on income inequality. “My commitment was to restore broad-based prosperity to the economy and to give Americans a chance," he said. Clinton's speech comes as Senator Elizabeth Warren's new book about inequality hits bookstands and Hillary's 2016 shadow campaign begins.
