John Hancock, the director of Bang the Drum Slowly and Weeds, adapted the new script, Fugitive Days, from Ayers's 2001 memoir of the same name. It will focus instead on Ayers's life in the sixties through the eighties. Separate but related question: How long until an Ayers doppelganger surfaces on Law & Order?
