Betty White Wins an Emmy

Betty White won an Emmy over the weekend as the best guest actress in a comedy for her appearance on Saturday Night Live. White’s award came as part of the Creative Arts Emmys, which are mostly technical in nature and are a precursor to the main awards, which take place on Sunday. It was the sixth Emmy for White, who won her first in 1952 for Life with Elizabeth. She also won for her roles on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Golden Girls.
