Bedbugs Invade UN Headquarters

Does this mean New York’s bedbug scourge is about to go global? The United Nations announced Wednesday that it’s been battling an infestation of the blood-sucking insects since May 2009. The building was fumigated, but this month more of the hated little creatures were found on furniture, the New York Post reports. The announcement makes the UN building the latest in what’s become a litany of the city’s landmarks found to be hosting bedbugs, including the Waldorf-Astoria, the Metropolitan Opera House, Carnegie Hall, and the Empire State Building.
