Beau Biden Won't Run for Senate

Beau Biden, the son of Vice President Joe Biden, announced Monday that he will not seek election to the Senate seat his father vacated last year. The younger Biden, currently Delaware's attorney general, emailed backers to say he would sit out the senatorial campaign in order to continue working on a child-abuse case. He had been Democrats’ top choice for the race; the decision puts the seat within reach for the GOP, which is fielding the popular former governor Rep. Mike Castle.
