Bangladesh Factory Charged With Murder

Forty-two people, including the factory-complex owner and a dozen government officials, have been charged with murder in the 2013 collapse of a Bangladeshi factory that killed more than 1,100 people. The charges—an upgrade from the culpable homicide they were initially accused of—mean that they may be executed if convicted. According to prosecutors, they ignored repeated warnings not to let workers into the buildings ahead of the factory collapse.
