Bahrain to Execute Protesters

A Bahrain military court has sentenced four Shiite protesters to death and three more to life in prison for killing two policemen during anti-government protests last month. State media said the men ran the police officers down with cars; however, the trial was conducted behind closed doors after the state banned the media from covering the military courts. Hundreds of protesters have been detained since the government of Bahrain declared martial law in March.
