Two suicide attacks in Baghdad on Sunday killed at least 20 people, officials said. Reuters reported that an attacker drove a car full of explosives into a vegetable market in a large Shi’ite part of the city and detonated it as police officers began firing at the vehicle. ISIS claimed responsibility for that attack, which killed 13 people. At a market in a separate Shi’ite part of Baghdad, another suicide bomber blew himself up, killing seven people. More than 80 people have been killed in similar attacks across the country over the past week.
