Baby Obesity Drops 43 Percent

Skinny babies are so in right now. Obesity in children aged two to five has fallen 43 percent in the past decade, according to Center for Disease Control data released Tuesday in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Nearly 14 percent of American babies were considered obese in 2004, and that number fell eight percent in 2012. The CDC said they aren't exactly sure what caused the weight loss, but that it could come from nutrition improvements in day cares and preschool programs, and the fact that more babies are being breastfed.
