The body of a San Diego State University student who was studying abroad in Spain was found in Madrid’s Manzanares River on Tuesday. Austin Bice, 22, was last seen 10 days ago at a nightclub not far from where the police discovered his body. An autopsy will be conducted on Tuesday or Wednesday, though the Madrid government has said it is not yet clear whether results will be revealed to the public, or only to Bice’s family and a Spanish investigating magistrate. Bice maintained a blog about his studies and life in Madrid and often commented on the city’s lively party scene, but claimed he wasn’t as heavily involved in it as others. A friend of Bice’s said he had been drinking heavily before hitting the club on the night of his disappearance.
