Aussie Minister Mocks Depp Video Apology

Australian Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce on Tuesday made fun of actor Johnny Depp and wife Amber Heard’s video apology for illegally bringing their dogs into the country. Heard pleaded guilty Monday to falsifying an immigration document, avoiding a prison sentence, after she was accused of smuggling her two Yorkshire Terriers into Australia last year. “I don’t think he’ll get an Academy Award for his performance... he looked like he was auditioning for The Godfather,” Joyce told Australian Broadcasting Corp. radio. “At the end of it, we’ve got a message that is going all around the world right now—it’s going off like a frog in a sock—telling people that if you come into this nation and you don’t obey our laws, you’re in trouble.”
