Passengers on this flight must have breathed a sigh of relief. Two Kuwaiti men were caught with 40 pythons in their carry-on. Airport security stopped them at the checkpoint and checked their luggage. “The officers caught two Kuwaitis trying to smuggle 40 reticulated pythons on an Emirates Airlines flight heading to Dubai on Friday afternoon,” said airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II. The airport operator's technical director, Saluhudin Rafi said it's not the first time someone's tried to smuggle pythons out of the airport. “We have managed to foil the smuggling of birds and other rare animals in the past. The suspects usually sedate the animals so officers wouldn't detect them at checkpoints,” he said.
