Art Thieves Loot Warhol

These Greenwich Village residents are out of luck: on Thursday night, the New York City Police Department investigated an art heist at an apartment near 9th Avenue, where thieves took nearly a million dollars in prints by Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, as well as a few articles of jewelry. While the owners were away the last week of November, the thieves carved their way into the apartment from an adjacent hallway. Police said they also stole a video recorder that was watching over the hallway.
