Arsenio Hall has filed a $5 million defamation lawsuit against Irish singer Sinead O’Connor over one of her Facebook posts suggesting he supplied Prince with drugs. The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleges O’Connor published “outlandish defamatory lies” about Hall, accusing him of “supplying illegal ‘hard drugs’ ‘over the decades’ to... Prince, and of spiking her with drugs once years ago.” The suit refers to a May 2 post on O’Connor’s page. “Two words for the DEA investigating where prince got his drugs over the decades.... Arsenio Hall (AKA Prince’s and Eddie Murphy’s b****),” she wrote. “Anyone imagining prince was not a long time hard drug user is living in cloud cuckoo land. Arsenio I’ve reported you to the Carver County Sheriff’s office. Expect their call. They are aware you spiked me years ago at Eddie murphy’s house.” Hall’s attorneys deny O’Connor’s claim.
