Arafat Exhumation May Yield Clues

Murmurs that former Palestinian leader Yasir Arafat was assassinated may either be squelched or given new credence when he is exhumed. Arafat rests in the Palestinian presidential compound known as the Muqata, and rumors have swirled around the circumstances of his demise since he died in 2004. An inquiry into the possibility Arafat was murdered was launched by French authorities at the request of his widow this year after an Al Jazeera report that proposed that Arafat may have succumbed from poisoning with polonium-210, trace amounts of which were discovered on come of his personal possessions.
