The San Francisco 49ers are off to a rough start, and the season hasn’t even started yet. Defensive end Aldon Smith was reportedly arrested Sunday afternoon at Los Angeles International Airport after he claimed to have a bomb. According to a Transportation Security Administration official, Smith was selected for secondary screening and then grew belligerent before making a bomb threat. This isn’t the first legal trouble for Smith or the 49ers. Smith has been arrested twice for DUI in the past 27 months and faces three felony weapons charges. Last week, 49er star quarterback Colin Kaepernick was named in a sexual-assault investigation in Miami. Cornerback Chris Culliver was also charged with a felony last week for a hit-and-run incident last May.
