Another Rare Oarfish Found on CA Coast

Soon to invade your nightmares: A nearly 14-foot oarfish was found washed ashore on the coast of southern California. It's the second carcass of the rare fish to emerge in California this week, which is unusual for the sea creature that lives 3,000 feet below the ocean's surface. The other was 18-feet long, which is nothing compared to the 50-feet marine biologists say it can grow to. The fish was cut into segments and packed into coolers for study by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
