Americans Score Terribly on Global Test

Maybe we're just bad test-takers, OK? Compared to our international competition, American adults score below average on tests measuring math, reading, and problem-solving using technology. The study, released on Tuesday by the Program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies, also found the United States faces the greatest challenges for overcoming the education gap between generations. American adults were trumphed in all three areas by Japan, Canada, Australia, Finland, and numerous other countries.
