Americans Oppose Syria Intervention

The red line might have been crossed, but Americans aren't responding favorably to the threat of intervention in one of the world's most desperate humanitarian crises. According to a Gallup poll released Monday, 54 percent of those polled said they didn't agree with the government's plan to supply direct military aid to Syrian rebels, and 37 percent said they approved. The poll found approval was higher among those who have been following the situation and among Democrats.
