An American man died Saturday after being bitten by a great white shark while diving. Officials declined to release the name of the 32-year-old, who was diving near Rottnest Island, a popular tourist destination. His companions said they saw a stream of bubbles at the surface near the dive boat, followed shortly after by the man’s body and then a 10-foot shark swimming away. The site of the attack is just 11 miles from the Perth city beach where a great white killed another man on Oct. 10. Authorities are hunting the shark, and they have been ordered to kill it if found.
