Television’s worst-kept secret is finally official: American Idol producers announced on Wednesday that Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler will be joining the judges’ table for the 10th season of the television juggernaut. Lopez even sweetened her one-year contract, reportedly worth $12 million, with a “first-look” deal for her film and TV production company Nuyorican Productions. “I’m ready to bring some rock to this ‘roller’ coaster,” Tyler said of his new gig. The new judges complete an Idol overhaul that saw the departure of Ellen DeGeneres after only one season, along with Simon Cowell, and Kara DioGuardi. Randy Jackson will remain, making him the only original judge on the panel.
