Allen Stanford In Court

Sir Allen Stanford, accused of running a $7 billion Ponzi scheme from the island of Antigua, was in court on Thursday, seeking bail while he awaits trial. Prosecutors are pushing hard for him to be denied bail, arguing that he has the motivation and the means to flee the country. Stanford surrendered to the FBI last month, and has been in custody since. The billionaire, who once lived a lavish lifestyle on the island paradise of Antigua, came into the courtroom in handcuffs and an orange jumpsuit.
