Al Qaeda No. 2 Killed in Afghanistan

Perhaps this is meant to counteract the news of the 450-inmate prison break? NATO announced on Tuesday that it killed al Qaeda’s No. 2 operative in Afghanistan, Abdul Ghani, nearly two weeks ago. Ghani ran training camps and planned attacks on foreigners and Afghan leaders. Separately, Afghan officials say they’ve recaptured 65 of the inmates who escaped on Monday.
