Airbag Recall May Hit 7 More Companies

Seven more auto makers may be forced to issue a recall in the U.S. for defective Takata airbags, according to letters the companies received from the Food and Drug Administration. Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar-Land Rover, Suzuki, Tesla, Volvo Trucks, Volkswagen, and Spartan Motors may be among those affected. The defective Takata airbags explode with too much force. More than 20 million have already been recalled.
