Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ testimony in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee will be public, the committee announced Monday. A spokesman for Sessions previously said the attorney general wanted to testify in an open setting. The hearing comes on the heels of former FBI Director James Comey’s appearance before the same committee last week, in which he assailed President Trump over his alleged inappropriate overtures when he served as the bureau’s chief. Sessions has faced scrutiny since Comey’s testimony over whether he made an effort to shield the FBI from potential political interference by the White House. The hearing will take place Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. ET.
